Brenton Point Capital Partners backs Continental Fuel Group
With committed capital and Rob Lewis as CEO, Continental Fuel Group targets small to midsize distributors in the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast.
Brenton Point Capital Partners acquired Continental Fuel Group, a commercial fuel distribution platform.
The company is targeting bulk, on-site, mobile fueling and wholesale delivery distributors across the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast.
Continental plans to acquire and operate small to midsize fuel distribution businesses serving commercial end-users.
Its target customer base includes construction, agriculture, transportation, marine, rail, municipal and fleet accounts, with a model built around preserving local brands, teams and customer relationships after a transaction.
CEO Rob Lewis runs the platform and is joined by Chairman Vincent Hartnett.
Lewis has spent 25 years operating, growing and selling fuel businesses, while Hartnett brings operating experience in logistics and fleet services.
The company is backed by committed capital from Brenton Point Capital Partners.
Brenton Point Capital Partners focuses on building lower middle-market businesses with experienced operators.
Continental is intended to give distributor owners several transaction paths, including a full sale, reduced day-to-day involvement or continuing equity participation.
The company plans to add centralized fuel purchasing, back-office infrastructure, fleet resources and technology investment across acquired businesses.
