Ara Infrastructure Fund I acquires majority interest in Pacific Ag
The national harvesting and logistics network turns excess crop residue into feedstocks for dairies, animal protein producers, and mushroom growers.
Pacific Ag, a U.S. crop residue harvesting and logistics company that upcycles excess field residue into sustainable feedstocks, was acquired by Ara Infrastructure Fund I in a majority transaction. The company’s specialized personnel, harvesting fleet, and logistics network collect excess residue directly from fields and supply downstream customers in dairies, animal protein markets, and mushroom growing medium.
Founder and CEO Bill Levy started Pacific Ag nearly three decades ago and built long-standing relationships with growers and downstream customers. Ara Partners, the sponsor of Ara Infrastructure Fund I, is backing the company through the waste-to-value strategy.
“Pacific Ag has built what most infrastructure companies spend years trying to create: a national network of scale, differentiated access to essential end-markets, and resilient underlying project economics,” said George Yong, Partner and Co-Head of Ara Infrastructure.
