Pelican Energy Partners acquired Riggins Company, a Hampton, Virginia manufacturer of engineered metal fabrications and custom components.
Founded in 1960, Riggins supplies the U.S. Navy and its nuclear shipbuilding partners, as well as customers in power generation, refining, petrochemicals and aerospace.
Its capabilities include custom fabrication and weldments, specialty welding, engineering and design, project management and field installation.
President and CEO Justin Byrum and the existing leadership team will continue to run the company.
Pelican plans to invest in additional production capacity.
