Aventia adds ECM Consultants
Adds Gulf South coastal resilience, flood-risk reduction, drainage and civil works expertise across four Louisiana offices serving public agencies and utilities.
Environmental services platform Aventia acquired ECM Consultants, adding Gulf South coastal infrastructure and resilience expertise to its consulting and field services business, with Bernhard Capital Partners backing the buyer.
The Louisiana-based firm maintains offices in Metairie, Baton Rouge, Lafayette and Shreveport and serves federal, state and local government agencies, transportation and coastal authorities, parish governments and utilities.
ECM Consultants was founded in 1995 and provides engineering, architectural and construction management services for infrastructure and resilience projects.
The firm has delivered more than 1,700 projects across the Gulf South, with work spanning coastal and mitigation engineering, ports, transportation, civil works, flood-risk reduction and drainage infrastructure.
Aventia provides environmental consulting, field services and technology-based solutions to public and private-sector clients in more than 40 states.
The company has more than 400 team members and was established in 2022 by Bernhard Capital Partners.
The transaction is Aventia’s sixth acquisition since its formation.
ECM founder and president Ujjal DasGupta is associated with the business as it moves into Aventia’s network, bringing three decades of regional client relationships and coastal infrastructure project experience.
