Allied Industrial Partners-backed Mat Tech Industrial Services has acquired Hook Set Transportation, an industrial hauling services provider operating in the Houston-Beaumont Corridor.
The deal marks Mat Tech’s first acquisition since its partnership with Allied in 2023.
“The integration of Hook Set Transportation into our operations provides us access to a larger fleet, allowing us to improve our service delivery across the Corridor and ensuring faster dispatch times,” stated Harlan Bergen, CEO of Mat Tech.
Hook Set serves downstream and petrochemical customers throughout the Gulf Coast.
Mat Tech provides waste management, environmental services, and specialty rental products to industrial customers, and the add-on adds hauling capacity along the corridor.
