SK Capital-Backed Precera Acquires Additive Metal Services
The Michigan business adds metal injection molding and sinter-based additive manufacturing to the medical-device supplier.
Precera Medical, an SK Capital Partners portfolio company, acquired the assets and business of Additive Metal Services, a Port Huron, Michigan-based provider of metal injection molding and sinter-based additive manufacturing. The purchase is Precera’s first acquisition since SK Capital launched the platform in November 2025.
It adds production methods for complex medical-device components to Precera’s machining, prototyping, automation and assembly services. Precera has also invested in equipment to expand metal injection molding in Minnesota.
The platform operates four manufacturing sites, split between Minnesota and France.
