Capital Machine closes KC Robotics acquisition
The deal gives the Rotunda Capital Partners portfolio company its first add-on since March 2025 and pairs equipment distribution with turnkey industrial automation.
Capital Machine, a Rotunda Capital Partners portfolio company, acquired KC Robotics, a West Chester, Ohio-based robotic systems integrator with more than 35 years of experience designing, building and integrating custom automation systems for manufacturers across North America. The transaction is Capital Machine’s first add-on since partnering with Rotunda Capital Partners in March 2025.
KC Robotics provides in-house engineering, fabrication and robot programming, along with robotic welding, cutting, finishing, material handling, machine tending, assembly and vision-guided automation. The combination allows Capital Machine to offer manufacturers integrated equipment and automation systems through a single provider, combining machinery selection, robotic integration, installation and ongoing technical support.
“Our customers have been asking us to help them solve their automation challenges, not just sell them the machine at the center of the cell,” said Dan DeBickero, CEO of Capital Machine. KC Robotics’ engineering and project management teams will continue serving existing customers while gaining access to Capital Machine’s equipment portfolio and aftermarket service network.
