Marsh completes acquisition of private markets manager AltamarCAM

AltamarCAM, a private markets asset manager serving clients across Europe and Latin America, joins Marsh; terms were not disclosed.

Marsh (NYSE: MRSH) completed its previously announced acquisition of AltamarCAM on November 4, 2026. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. AltamarCAM will adopt the Marsh brand, and its 280 employees across Madrid, Munich, Barcelona, Cologne, London, New York and Santiago de Chile join Marsh.

AltamarCAM serves insurers, family offices, pension funds, foundations, banks and other institutional and wealth clients across Europe and Latin America, offering private markets solutions across secondaries, co-investments, bespoke accounts and evergreen vehicles. Marsh said the deal lifts its private markets assets under management to US$75 billion, a combined figure as of June 30, 2026.

AltamarCAM co-founder and global CEO José Luis Molina will lead Marsh's new international private markets platform, and founder and executive chairman Claudio Aguirre will become its chairman. Madrid becomes a hub for the platform. Marsh's Garvan McCarthy said the combination would help clients invest in private markets with confidence.
