Edison Partners leads $28M growth investment in Numeracle
Numeracle, a McLean, Virginia business identity verification platform, raised a $28 million growth investment led by Edison Partners.
Numeracle announced a $28 million growth investment led by Edison Partners. The company said the funding will support expansion of its identity platform into new industries and regions, including growth of its go-to-market, sales, product and R&D teams and its international presence.
Numeracle verifies that businesses are real, legitimate operating entities and uses that verified identity to help prevent call mislabeling and advocate for removal of labels at the carrier level. The company said its annual recurring revenue rose 70% year over year and that it works with more than 4,000 enterprise brands. Its new Know Your Customer as a Service offering is aimed at telecom companies and platforms that must meet FCC identity and vetting requirements.
Lenard Marcus, General Partner at Edison Partners, said Numeracle has become a trusted partner to enterprises and carriers and called it a compelling investment. Founder and CEO Rebekah Johnson said the company would extend its verification from voice to messaging and other digital channels.
