Airbus and Safran have agreed to acquire Aubert & Duval, a designer and producer of complex metallic materials for aerospace, defense, energy and medical applications, from Tikehau Capital’s Aeronautics and Defense fund.

The company generates approximately €960 million in annual revenue and employs 4,400 people across 10 industrial sites, eight of which are in France.

Tikehau, Airbus and Safran jointly acquired the business in April 2023 and subsequently drove a turnaround focused on French and European industrial sovereignty.

The transaction concentrates ownership with the two aerospace groups and enables them to secure critical material supplies.

Aubert & Duval will continue to operate independently with its customers and suppliers.
