Bridgepoint Acquires Majority Stake in VIPR from Tenzing
Management reinvests in the London insurance data software company following a July closing.
Bridgepoint has acquired a majority stake in VIPR, a London-based provider of insurance data and workflow software, from Tenzing. Founded in 2009, VIPR processes around 500,000 bordereaux annually, representing approximately $12 billion in gross written premium.
These data files record insurance risks, premiums, and claims. CEO Paul Templar and the management team reinvested alongside Bridgepoint and will continue to run the business.
Bridgepoint Growth will support product development, AI capabilities, and international expansion. The transaction closed in July and was announced September 3.
