8 Bridge Group acquires majority stake in 340BIntel
The platform's software analyzes prescription capture, patient eligibility, referral patterns and pharmacy network performance for hospitals and healthcare providers participating in the 340B Drug Pricing Program.
340BIntel, a healthcare technology company whose software helps US hospitals and healthcare providers identify unclaimed savings through the federal 340B Drug Pricing Program, was acquired by 8 Bridge Group in a majority stake transaction. The acquisition is the first phase of a long-term healthcare technology initiative at the Birmingham, Alabama-based investment firm targeting more than $2 billion in revenue over the next decade.
8 Bridge Group will give 340BIntel access to more than 100 software developers while funding the company's national expansion. “The company’s proprietary technology identifies and recovers previously unclaimed 340B savings, enabling Covered Entities to enhance program performance without disrupting existing workflows or operational models,” said Heath Echols, chief operating officer of 8 Bridge Group.
340BIntel is working to add 120 nonprofit hospitals to its network by the fourth quarter of 2027, targeting healthcare organizations seeking to improve financial performance and support patient services.
