Coreh takes over Bayerisch Gmain care center from insolvency
Munich-based Coreh Care Holding acquires the Bayerisch Gmain care and therapy center, its second takeover in Bavaria after the Birkenhof in Erharting.
Munich investor Coreh Care Holding has taken over the Pflege- und Therapiezentrum Bayerisch Gmain, a senior care and social therapy operator with two sites, 287 places and about 240 employees. The business comes from the insolvent Merkel Beteiligungen environment. Coreh won the process after an investor tender of roughly three months.
The deal is Coreh's second acquisition in Bavaria, four months after it took over the insolvent Birkenhof in Erharting. Managing partner Jacob Hetzel said in June that Coreh aims for four more transactions in 2026. Coreh plans, together with Austrian financial investor Invest AG, to invest more than 100 million euros over the long term in building a care group.
Sandra Samardzic, who previously worked at the company, has been appointed managing director.
