Pophouse acquires Tina Turner catalog/legacy rights

The assets cover music catalog and name, image and likeness rights tied to the late singer, with plans for IP development, live experiences and streaming.

Pophouse acquired Tina Turner catalog and NIL rights, a recorded-music and artist-legacy asset.

The Swedish entertainment investment firm is targeting entertainment, IP development, live experiences and streaming as channels for audience development around the late singer’s work and persona.

The transaction covers assets tied to Turner’s music catalog as well as rights to her name, image and likeness.

Those rights give Pophouse control over IP associated with one of the most recognizable recording artists of the late 20th century, spanning recordings, brand identity and legacy uses across entertainment formats.

Pophouse focuses on entertainment investments and the development of music-related intellectual property.

For the Turner assets, the firm plans to use content, live-experience formats and streaming distribution to introduce the catalog and artist identity to younger listeners while managing existing fan engagement.

The deal sits within a broader market for music IP, where sponsors and strategic entertainment investors have pursued catalogs, artist brands and NIL rights as reusable assets across recorded music, licensing, stage concepts, digital channels and fan experiences.
