Bad Boy Mowers Agrees to Acquire Excel Industries

Bad Boy Mowers has agreed to acquire Excel Industries, the maker of Hustler ride-on and zero-turn mowers, from Stanley Black & Decker. Bad Boy Mowers is backed by TorQuest Partners alongside The Sterling Group.

Based in Hesston, Kansas, Excel supplies commercial and residential turf-care equipment through independent dealers across the United States and Canada. Stanley Black & Decker expects the business to generate about $300 million in fiscal 2026 revenue.

Completion remains subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions. BofA Securities is advising the seller, with Cravath, Swaine & Moore serving as legal counsel.
