Franchise Equity Partners acquired Bravo Fit, the Australian Planet Fitness franchise operator, from existing shareholders including Planet Fitness, which exited its minority stake.
Bravo Fit operates 32 clubs and holds exclusive development rights for roughly 100 Planet Fitness locations across Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, Queensland and the Australian Capital Territory.
The existing management team will continue to lead the business.
FEP plans to provide capital for additional club openings and investment in the member experience.
The acquisition is FEP's first investment in an Australian-headquartered business.
