Altamont-Backed SPG Acquires DFW Crating & Packaging
The Grand Prairie business will retain its name and facility within SPG’s protective-packaging platform.
Specialized Packaging Group, an Altamont Capital Partners portfolio company, acquired DFW Crating & Packaging, a provider of custom crating and protective-packaging products in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Announced September 9, the acquisition extends SPG’s capabilities in Texas, including server-rack crating.
DFW will continue operating under its existing name from its Grand Prairie facility. Angela Mathews led the company as CEO and owner.
Charlotte-based SPG operates across the United States, Canada and Mexico, serving markets including aerospace, electronics, medical and automotive. Financial terms were not disclosed.
