Alliant-backed Confie acquires TDECU's insurance operations
Confie acquires the insurance arm of Houston-area credit union TDECU, which serves more than 400,000 members, and folds it into its InsureOne agency.
Confie, the personal lines insurance distributor backed by Alliant, has acquired the insurance operations of TDECU, one of the largest credit unions in Texas. Confie also entered a long-term service agreement with TDECU to keep providing insurance to the credit union's more than 400,000 members.
TDECU Insurance Agency, LLC, the credit union's retail arm, sells auto, home, renters, life and health insurance. Its operations will become part of Confie's InsureOne agency, and its 34 employees will join InsureOne's credit union division. Confie said the deal expands its credit union partnership strategy into Texas.
