Shore Capital Partners-backed ONDEX Automation added The Fitch Company, a Rumford, Maine-based electrical engineering and process automation systems integrator serving industrial operators.

Founded in 1986, The Fitch Company operates facilities in Rumford, Bangor and Gray, Maine, and serves pulp and paper, power and energy, food and beverage, and consumer goods customers across North America.

Terms were not disclosed.

The add-on is ONDEX Automation's sixth acquisition since April 2024 and brings DCS and PLC programming, OT/IT networking, electrical design, instrumentation, panel fabrication and plant-wide control system expertise.

Chicago-based ONDEX Automation works in discrete and process automation systems integration and has more than 150 team members across 10 locations.

Mark Bolduc, president of The Fitch Company, will continue with the business as general manager.
