Vista co-leads Arcee AI Series B at $1 billion-plus valuation
Cambium Capital and Emergence Capital also led the financing for the San Francisco developer of open-weight AI models.
Vista Equity Partners, Cambium Capital and Emergence Capital led a Series B financing for Arcee AI at a valuation of more than $1 billion. The San Francisco company develops open-weight AI models and deployment software, allowing organizations to run and customize models within their own infrastructure.
The funding will support its Trinity model family, tools for model customization and deployment, and research, engineering and product hiring. Arcee is also collaborating with the U.S. Department of Energy and its 17 national laboratories on Genesis-Science-1, an open model for scientific computing.
The amount raised and ownership stakes were not disclosed.
