Kohlberg acquires majority stake in Advanced Industrial Devices
Black Bay Partners exits the automation and controls provider; AID management retains a significant stake.
Kohlberg acquired a majority interest in Advanced Industrial Devices from Black Bay Partners. The company designs automation and control systems for data centers, water and wastewater facilities, and power infrastructure.
Its systems control motor speed, distribute power and automate equipment including cooling towers, chillers, fans and pumps. Founded in 1983, AID also provides field service, repair, training and engineering support.
Chief Executive Officer Russell Claybrook and the management team will retain a significant ownership interest.
