SureWerx acquires American Safety Clothing Inc.
Adds a Sellersville, Pennsylvania operation producing Arc Flash, High Heat, flame-resistant and cut-resistant apparel to the Partners Group portfolio company’s industrial safety platform.
American Safety Clothing Inc., a designer and manufacturer of technical protective apparel for high-risk industrial workers, has been acquired by SureWerx, a Partners Group portfolio company. The Sellersville, Pennsylvania company makes suits, hoods, coveralls, gloves and other garments for electric and gas utilities, oil and gas, construction, welding, glass manufacturing and foundries.
Majority owner Henry Thompson said the transaction gives American Safety Clothing access to SureWerx’s global industrial distribution network while the Sellersville manufacturing operation continues. The acquisition adds domestic manufacturing depth in Arc Flash, High Heat, flame-resistant and cut-resistant apparel and complements SureWerx’s Oberon and Pioneer brands.
