Southern adds Blazer Heating, Air & Plumbing
Adds a 37-year-old home services brand serving homeowners across Mechanicsville, Glen Allen, Chesterfield, Henrico, Hanover and greater Richmond.
Blazer Heating, Air & Plumbing, a 37-year-old provider of residential HVAC and plumbing services, has been added to Gryphon-backed Southern Home Services.
The Richmond, Virginia-area company serves residential homeowners across Mechanicsville, Glen Allen, Chesterfield, Henrico, Hanover and the broader Richmond metro market.
Founded in 1989 and owned by Scott Broyles before the sale, Blazer provides heating, air conditioning and plumbing service through a locally operated brand.
The company has built its customer base around residential service, employee investment and community ties in central Virginia.
Bobby Broyles will continue to lead the business as general manager, and customers will continue to work with the existing local team.
Southern Home Services is a house-of-brands platform for HVAC, plumbing and electrical companies across the South, Midwest and Mid-Atlantic.
Backed by Gryphon, the platform supports locally operated residential trade services brands with management resources, operating systems and shared infrastructure.
The deal gives Southern a Richmond-area home services operation in one of Virginia's established residential markets.
Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP served as legal counsel to Southern Home Services.
Williams Mullen P.C. served as legal counsel to Blazer, and Marriott & Co., LLC served as Blazer's financial advisor.
