CGS Partners acquires Massachusetts supplier S&G Resources
Since 1985, the Medfield, Massachusetts-based distributor has supplied specialty ingredients and chemicals through global sourcing relationships and manufacturer partnerships across North America.
S&G Resources, a distributor of hydrocolloids and specialty chemicals, has been acquired by CGS Partners, a Chicago-based investment firm. Its products reach food processing, baking, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, medical and industrial manufacturing customers across North America from strategically located warehousing facilities.
The acquisition gives S&G Resources new ownership and access to operational resources while it continues serving customers in those industries. CGS Partners focuses on acquiring established small businesses and supporting their long-term development through operational improvements, technology adoption and growth initiatives.
