Relevant Solutions, a platform backed by Fusion Capital Partners, has brought in a Rockwell-certified systems integrator to add automation controls capability for water/wastewater, dairy and agriculture customers and to establish its first physical footprint in the Intermountain West.
The acquisition of Idaho Falls-based Automation Werx, announced May 14, is the platform’s first add-on since Fusion invested.
Automation Werx, founded in 2013, is a UL508A and UL698 listed control panel shop and a certified Rockwell Automation Silver System Integrator.
The company provides turnkey industrial automation solutions, including control system design, panel fabrication, PLC/HMI programming, SCADA and instrumentation, along with 24/7 maintenance support.
The business serves dairies, water treatment facilities and agriculture producers primarily in Idaho, Wyoming, Montana and surrounding states.
The existing team, led by CEO Trevor Steffler, continues to operate from the Idaho Falls location.
Relevant Solutions was formed in 2010 and has expanded through organic growth and acquisitions into a multi-location provider of engineered products, services and solutions.
The platform now operates from more than 30 U.S. locations, serving markets such as renewable energy, semiconductor, refining, chemical processing and food.
The Automation Werx deal fills a capability gap in controls integration and SCADA, particularly for agriculture and water/wastewater applications, and gives Relevant a local base to serve the Intermountain region.
McGuireWoods served as buy-side legal advisor to Relevant Solutions.
Automation Werx was advised by Hemming Morse as transaction advisor, Holden, Kidwell, Hahn & Crapo as legal counsel, and Edge Financial as tax advisor.
