Ghai Restaurants buys 44 Houston-Area Taco Bell Locations
Adds Houston market density in Taco Bell franchising to a buyer that already operates Burger King, Taco Bell and Blaze Pizza units.
Mas Restaurant Group sold a Houston-area package of 44 Taco Bell franchise restaurants to Ghai Restaurants, moving part of the 123-unit Taco Bell operator to another quick-service franchisee.
The restaurants are in the Houston, Texas, market and operate within Taco Bell’s franchised quick-service restaurant system.
Terms were not disclosed.
Ghai Restaurants operates more than 115 Burger King restaurants, 35 Taco Bell restaurants and seven Blaze Pizza locations, so the purchase more than doubles its Taco Bell unit count.
Bessemer Investors has backed Mas Restaurant Group since 2018, including during its 2021 purchase of 36 Taco Bell restaurants in Columbus, Ohio, from CL Companies.
