Sazerac acquires Full Sail Brewing
Kentucky-based spirits company Sazerac has acquired Full Sail Brewing, an Oregon craft brewer, and closed its Hood River brewpub.
Sazerac confirmed on Thursday that it has acquired Full Sail Brewing. The company said the deal adds production and manufacturing capacity to its network, and it does not plan to make or distribute Full Sail beer over the long term.
Sazerac owns hundreds of alcohol brands worldwide, including Fireball Cinnamon Whisky and Svedka Vodka. The seller and deal value were not disclosed.
Sazerac said it will work with Full Sail employees to handle limited inventory and with local partners to wind down contracts. A former Full Sail employee said 25 people lost their jobs, a figure the companies have not confirmed.
