Kos Biotechnology Partners invests in Golden Age Health
Kos BioVentures makes a strategic investment in Singapore-based Golden Age Health, a commercial platform for rare and specialty medicines in Greater China and Asia-Pacific.
Kos Biotechnology Partners said it made a strategic investment in Golden Age Health through its first fund, Kos BioVentures. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. As part of the deal, Kos managing partner and co-founder Alex Tzoukas will take a seat on the Golden Age Health board.
Golden Age Health, founded in 2023 and chaired by former Biogen CEO Michel Vounatsos, works with Western and Asian biopharma companies to commercialize approved and near-approved rare and specialty disease therapies across Greater China, Southeast Asia and the Gulf. It offers regulatory strategy, market access, distribution and promotion, and in-licensing or profit-share arrangements.
The company said the capital will support expansion of its commercial footprint and portfolio in Greater China and Asia-Pacific and speed cross-border flow of biotech innovation between Western and Asian markets. Kos, based in New York and Athens, manages $125 million and is backed by institutional investors including the Hellenic Development Bank of Investments.
