Golub Capital has made a growth equity investment in Church's Texas Chicken, the 1952-founded quick-service chain with more than 1,500 restaurants across the U.S. and 25+ international markets.

System sales recently surpassed $1.6 billion following a multiyear operational overhaul under High Bluff Capital Partners and Future Standard, which acquired the brand in 2021.

"When we acquired Church's in 2021, we saw a brand with 70 years of equity and significant untapped potential, and we committed to the long, disciplined work of realizing a tremendous opportunity," said Ryan Pitt, Principal at High Bluff Capital Partners.

The investment deepens Golub Capital's relationship with the company, which the firm first provided financing to in 2024.

Church's plans to use the capital to expand its restaurant remodel program and new company-operated openings, including recent reentry into the Philadelphia market.
