Blackstone and Halliburton Invest In VoltaGrid
Creates a platform investment for Blackstone, Halliburton around VoltaGrid and its operating business and adding another asset to the relevant private-equity portfolio.
Blackstone, Halliburton acquired VoltaGrid.
Blackstone and Halliburton invested $1 billion in VoltaGrid, a behind-the-meter power generation platform that delivers firm, off-grid power to data centers, microgrids, and industrial customers.
The investment includes $775 million of primary capital to fund VoltaGrid's buildout for AI data center demand and a concurrent agreement to acquire Propell Energy Technology, a key manufacturer of its proprietary high-inertia power systems.
