A Stonepeak-led consortium agreed to acquire a majority stake in Estia Health from Bain Capital.
Estia is one of Australia's largest residential aged-care operators, with more than 90 homes across New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Victoria and about 9,000 residents.
The transaction gives Stonepeak's Volarae Living platform a second aged-care investment in Australia and New Zealand, while Bain exits the business it took private in 2023.
Terms were not disclosed, and the transaction is expected to close in late 2026.
