e4n Group-backed Katalyst acquires Bluetowne
Katalyst, a managed services provider backed by e4n Group, buys Mount Pleasant, South Carolina-based IT services firm Bluetowne, its second deal in three months.
Katalyst, a managed services provider backed by e4n Group, announced it has acquired Bluetowne, a Mount Pleasant, South Carolina-based provider of cybersecurity, cloud, data center, networking and managed IT services. Terms were not disclosed.
The deal is Katalyst's second in three months, following its July acquisition of Layer27, and continues the buy-and-build strategy the company has pursued since e4n Group partnered with it in May 2026. Bluetowne, founded in 2001, brings engineering depth and client relationships in the architecture, engineering and construction and renewable energy sectors, plus a stronger position in the Charleston market.
Bluetowne CEO Eric Hartley joins Katalyst to help build out vertical practices and drive strategic services. Katalyst CEO Luke Johnson said the Bluetowne team's technical expertise and client relationships fit the organization, while e4n Group chairman and CEO Hervé Tessler said the acquisition adds a new dimension to Katalyst in fast-growing sectors.
