West Madison Foods acquires The Flavor of California, LLC

Brynwood Partners portfolio company West Madison Foods has acquired The Flavor of California, LLC, the licensed manufacturer of Bob's Big Boy salad dressings and dips. The brand's products are distributed through mass retail and grocery channels and, like West Madison's Dean's Dips and Marie's salad dressings, are merchandised in the refrigerated case.

Flavor of California was formed in 2018 to acquire the Bob's Big Boy business under license from Big Boy Restaurant Group; the selling group included CEO Julie Pantiskas and Salt Creek Capital. The amended license agreement will enable sales of Bob's Big Boy items in states such as Michigan and Ohio, where the brand has a rich history.
