Broadwing Capital-backed LEHR has deepened its presence in Florida with the acquisition of Enforcement One, a Tampa Bay-based emergency vehicle upfitter.
The add-on brings three facilities, 27 employees, and more than 500 annual vehicle upfits to the national platform.
Founded in 2011 by Aaron Watkins, Enforcement One began with a request from a towing agency to install lights on vehicles and grew into a provider of upfitting services for law enforcement, emergency response, and government agencies across Florida's tri-county region.
Watkins will remain as a consultant; day-to-day operations will be led by General Manager James “Al” Warrell, who has been with the company for 13 years.
LEHR, headquartered in Orange County, California, operates more than 30 locations nationwide and counts Broadwing Capital as its private equity sponsor.
The Enforcement One deal is the platform's eighth add-on acquisition, extending its footprint in the Southeast where customer demand has been increasing.
