Biospring Partners leads growth investment in Serán Bioscience

Serán Bioscience, a contract development and manufacturing organization for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, has secured growth capital led by Biospring Partners. The investment supports Serán’s expansion from clinical-stage manufacturing into commercial production, with emphasis on particle engineering and spray drying.
“This investment is a significant milestone in Serán’s evolution as we rapidly scale our clinical manufacturing operations to support launches of new medicines, as well as serve new clients seeking a state-of-the-art commercial manufacturing partner,” said Dan Smithey, co-founder and CEO of Serán. Existing investors Vivo Capital and Bain Capital Life Sciences participated in the round.
