Clearlake closes Pathway Capital Management acquisition
After closing, the combined business represents more than $185 billion in assets under management and over 500 employees globally.
Pathway Capital Management, an Irvine, California-based provider of private market solutions for institutional and wealth investors, was acquired by Clearlake Capital Group, L.P. Terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 1991, Pathway manages more than $95 billion in assets and creates custom and multi-investor programs across private equity, private credit, infrastructure, secondaries and co-investments.
The firm also operates offices in Providence, London, Munich and Hong Kong, and its professionals have helped develop 135 private market portfolios with more than $135 billion committed across those strategies.
Pathway will continue under its existing brand, with James Chambliss, Richard Mazer and Alex Casbolt remaining in leadership roles.
Clearlake Capital Group, L.P. is based in Santa Monica, California, and manages integrated platforms across private equity, credit, infrastructure, secondaries, co-investments and other private market strategies.
