Aruwa Capital invests in Polysmart Packaging
Nigerian plastic recycling and packaging company Polysmart, founded in 2013, received an investment from Aruwa Capital's second fund.
Aruwa Capital Management, a Lagos-based private equity firm focused on Nigeria and Ghana, has announced its investment in Polysmart Packaging. Aruwa made the investment in December 2025 through Aruwa Capital Fund II to support the expansion of the company.
Polysmart, founded in 2013 as a flexible packaging business, has moved into PET recycling to address Nigeria's plastic waste problem. It produces food-grade rPET flakes and resin pellets for beverage and FMCG manufacturers. On 29 October 2026 it commissioned Phase 1 of its expanded recycling facility in Mowe, Ogun State. Founder and CEO Wasiu Balogun and Aruwa managing partner Adesuwa Okunbo Rhodes both praised the partnership.
