Ambienta-backed Wateralia acquires CSA
Italian control valve maker CSA, serving water utilities, joins Ambienta-backed Wateralia; owner Luca Bonatti retains a minority stake.
Wateralia has acquired CSA, an Italian maker of engineered control valves for pressurised water networks. The deal expands Wateralia beyond pumps into pressure and flow management systems for water infrastructure. Terms were not disclosed.
CSA was founded in 1987 and is headquartered in Salsomaggiore Terme. It designs, manufactures and tests valves used to regulate pressure and reservoir levels, serving more than 1,000 municipal and multi-utility customers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the Americas and Australia.
CSA owner and CEO Luca Bonatti will retain a minority stake and continue in a senior role. Ambienta SGR private equity chief investment officer Mauro Roversi said the acquisition extends Wateralia into control valves, while Wateralia group CEO Federico De Angelis said the combined portfolio broadens its water infrastructure offering.
