University Termite & Pest Control, a Tucson termite and pest management business owned by Ryan and Krista Horn, has been added to PestCo Holdings, LLC, the Thompson Street Capital Partners-backed pest services platform.

The company serves residential and commercial customers in Arizona with termite and general pest management services.

University brings PestCo a local operation in a Southwest market that the platform has identified as a priority.

The business has commercial pest control capability along with a residential program in the Tucson area.

The add-on gives PestCo a regional provider with an established Tucson footprint rather than a new service line.

PestCo is a national provider of pest control services for residential and commercial customers.

The platform is backed by Thompson Street Capital Partners, a St. Louis private equity firm focused on founder-owned lower companies across life sciences and healthcare, software and technology, and business and consumer services and products.

Founded in 2000, Thompson Street Capital Partners has had $5.2 billion in commitments since inception.

Ryan and Krista Horn sold University after evaluating a sale for several years and speaking with multiple potential buyers.

PestCo chief executive Jay Keating said the company will focus on customer loyalty and employee opportunity as the University team becomes part of the platform.
