Machine Sciences acquired Kittyhawk from Trive Capital, adding hot isostatic pressing services used in space, commercial aerospace, defense and power-generation applications.

Founded in 1981, Kittyhawk densifies cast and additively manufactured components used in high-temperature and high-pressure environments where component failure is costly.

The company expanded in 2024 through the acquisition of Stack HIP, which added high-pressure vessels at its Albany, Oregon facility.
