Thibaut, the oldest wallcovering company in the United States, has been acquired by Charlottesville, Virginia-based Quad-C Management as a new platform in the branded home products sector.

The 140-year-old design house, founded in 1886 and headquartered in New Jersey, will continue to be led by CEO Rick Kilmer.

Thibaut sells wallcoverings, fabrics, trims, area rugs, and furniture to the trade under the Thibaut, Anna French, Coraggio, and Rosemary Hallgarten brands.

An in-house design team produces exclusive artwork for the collections, which reach customers through hundreds of locations globally.

The company operates six flagship showrooms in the US and maintains corporate offices in New Jersey and London.

Quad-C brings sector experience through prior investments in Stanton, a designer and supplier of premium floorcoverings, and Wolf Home Products, a distributor of branded specialty building products.

The firm said it will support product innovation and expanded offerings at Thibaut while preserving the creative and customer-driven ethos built over generations.
