Sopris Capital acquires Blackford Analysis from Bayer
The platform gives hospitals, health systems, and original equipment manufacturers a vendor-neutral way to deploy and manage more than 130 AI imaging applications from over 45 partner vendors.
Blackford Analysis, an AI orchestration platform for medical imaging with operations in Scotland and the United States, was acquired by Sopris Capital from Bayer. Founded in 2010, the company launched the industry's first AI orchestration platform in 2016 and serves hospitals, health systems, and original equipment manufacturers.
Sopris Capital is combining the business with Azra AI, a healthcare AI portfolio company, and expects that next step to be completed in the coming days or weeks. "Joining Sopris Capital creates an exciting opportunity to accelerate Blackford's growth and extend the reach of our platform," said James Holroyd, Blackford Managing Director.
