YA Group has acquired Carr Engineering, a Houston-based motor vehicle crash reconstruction and design analysis firm that serves legal and insurance clients with defect analysis involving vehicle dynamics, airbag controls, and advanced driver assistance systems.

Founded over four decades ago, the firm is owned by James Walker, Jr., who will continue as co-leader of YA Group's Accident Reconstruction practice alongside Wade Wilson.

Carr brings a team of more than 25 engineers and a specialized facility equipped with one of only two private-sector HYGE crash simulators, as well as a proprietary 3D animation pipeline.

"From the beginning, it was clear that YA Group and Carr share a commitment to technical rigor, objectivity, and client service," said James Walker, Jr. The Houston location will serve as a flagship for YA Group's accident reconstruction practice.
